The Kleine Waldstein (829 m) is a group of rocks on the northern slope of the Bergkopf , part of the Waldstein range in the Fichtel Mountains .

The name of the small forest stone is connected to the large forest stone , the name is often used synonymously for the mountain. There, as a protected natural monument, there is a larger, free-standing rock massif made of granite in wool sack weathering . After Hurricane Kyrill , the immediate vicinity of the group of rocks was not forested. A few meters away on the western slope is the Kuhfelsen. The path towards Sparneck leads past the source of the Förmitz . To the east are the Hohe Stein and the Lamitz spring . The Kleine Waldstein can be reached via various hiking trails, including the high trail of the Fichtelgebirgsverein .
