The Bergkopf is an 857 m high, densely forested mountain in the Sparneck Forest in the Fichtel Mountains .

It is located in the northern limb of the Fichtelgebirge horseshoe , in the ridge area of ​​the Großer Waldstein . On the north slope is the granite rock formation Kleiner Waldstein ( 829  m above sea level ) and further north towards Sparneck the source of the Förmitz . In the north-east lies the granite rock castle Hoher Stein ( 817  m above sea level ) and on the mountain slope the source of the Lamitz . In the southwest in the direction of Weißenstadt a memorial stone commemorates the forest warden Johann Braun, who died on July 12, 1881 at that point.
