Small Volkstheater Trier

The Kleine Volkstheater Trier eV was founded on September 19, 1990 in Trier-Kürenz . In 1997 the company moved to the hall at the Römersprudel in Trier-Feyen / Weismark . The association has about 400 members. The aim of the theater is to maintain the Trier dialect and to enrich the cultural scene in Trier.

Gabi Hahn (former name: Hermesdorf) is the founder and chairwoman of the "Das Kleine Volkstheater" association. The playwright and well-known actor of the theater is the Trier original Helmut Leiendecker from the Leiendecker Bloas ( Trier dialect band). In 2001 they both received the Trier City Cup of Honor for their services to Trier's cultural life.

As early as 1999, the association was awarded the Elsbeth and Otto Schwab Prize at the Trier Moselle Country Exhibition for its services to Trier .
