Gyula small area

The small area Gyula (Hungarian Gyulai kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) in the west of Békés county in the southern Great Plain . At the beginning of 2013 it was completely transformed into the district of the same name (Hungarian Gyulai járás ).

The small area had 41,579 inhabitants (end of 2012) on an area of ​​413.22 km² and comprised four municipalities: two cities, one municipality and the large municipality (Hungarian nagyköszég ) Kétegyháza.

The administration of the small area was in the city of Gyula .
