Jánoshalma small area

The small area Jánoshalma ( Hungarian: Jánoshalmi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Bács-Kiskun county in the southern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013, all four municipalities, together with the municipality of Rém, moved from the small area of ​​Baja to the new Jánoshalma district ( Jánoshalmai járás in Hungarian ).

The small area had 15,991 inhabitants (end of 2012) on an area of ​​399.10 km² and comprised 4 municipalities.

The administrative seat was in the city of Jánoshalma .
