Baja small area
The small area Baja ( Hungarian Bajai kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within the Bács-Kiskun county in the Southern Great Plain until the end of 2012 . In the course of the administrative reform of 2013 it was mainly divided into the following Baja district (Hungarian Bajai járás ), two municipalities were assigned to the Bácsalmás district and one to the Jánoshalma district .
The small area had 71,741 inhabitants (end of 2012) on an area of 1190.18 km² and comprised 20 municipalities.
The administrative seat was in the only city of Baja .
