Bácsszentgyörgy ( Croatian Djuric , Serbian Ђурић ) is a Hungarian community in the district of Baja in Bács-Kiskun . It is located immediately north of the border with Serbia on the Kígyós-főcsatorna river . One kilometer south is the Serbian town of Rastina ( Растина ).
history
The name of the community goes back to St. George ( Szent György ). In the course of time the place had different names like Szentgyörgy (1425), Györgypuszta (1904), Baracska-Szentgyörgy (1930) and from 1947 Bácsszentgyörgy.

traffic
Road No. 5506 runs east of Bácsszentgyörgy to the Serbian border. There are bus connections to Baja . The nearest train station is a good 20 kilometers north in Baja.
