Klishchynzi ( Ukrainian Кліщинці ; Russian Клещинцы Kleschtschinzy ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast of Cherkassy with about 1300 inhabitants (2006).

Klischtschynzi is the only location of the same District community and is in the Rayon Chornobai on a peninsula of the mouth of the Sula in the kremenchuk reservoir accumulated Dnepr is formed. The Rajon center Chornobaj is 44 km northwest of the village, the Oblast capital Cherkassy can be reached after 82 km via a road connection in a westerly direction. The N 08 road runs north of the village .

Personalities

The Ukrainian cultural activist, writer, poet and playwright Mychajlo Staryzkyj was born in the village on December 14, 1840 .
