The Svaté Pole Monastery (German Heiligenfeld Monastery ; Latin Monasterium Sacer Campus ) was a former Cistercian monastery in Klášter nad Dědinou in Eastern Bohemia . It was located in the Dědina valley and belonged to the old Bohemian Hradec Kralove district . The village Klášter nad Dědinou today belongs to the Ledce municipality in Okres Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic.

history

The history of the monastery is in the dark. The founding year is given as 1149 and 1157, others assume that a priory existed here in the 12th century. The monastery is only documented in a record of the meeting of the General Chapter in 1272, after which the abbots of Morimond Monastery and Žďár Monastery were supposed to establish the convent. It is also unclear whether the monastery was a subsidiary of Nepomuk Monastery ( so Janauschek, van der Meer, A. Schneider, Becking ) or of Hradiště Monastery ( so F. Winter, Sedláček, Novotný, Kuthan ). In any case, an abbot is recorded for the year 1292. The abbey had a relatively small property. According to a record from 1376, the monastery church was under construction or at least planned at this time. At the end of 1420 the monastery was conquered and sacked by the Hussites . The Convention is no longer mentioned in the following. The property was pledged and passed to the Lords of Trčka from Lípa to Opočno at the end of the 16th century .

Remnants of the monastery church are said to have been removed around 1740. Remains of medieval buildings can no longer be found today.
