Monastery Triefenstein (in the location database and the topographic map Triefenstein called) is a place in the district Trennfeld of the market Triefenstein in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart in Bavaria . A ditch flows north of the village towards the Main .

In the village there is the former Augustinian canons monastery Triefenstein , in which the Christusträger brothers live. The Franconian Marienweg leads through Triefenstein Monastery .

In the 1987 census, the place was called Triefenstein with the topographical indication of the monastery .
