The Klosterbach is a flowing body of water in Saxony . Its name refers to the former Benedictine - monastery of St. Mary and the district Monastery Geringswalde that it flows. It rises on the eastern edge of the Fröhne , a forest area east of Geringswalde in the Central Saxony district , and flows from the east into the Geringswalder pond, which was created by damming the stream. The western outflow of this pond is also the source of the Auenbach .

The Klosterbach flows through the Langen Grund, at the western exit of which it takes in the Erlgrundbach from the right, also in the Fröhne, but about 600 meters further to the northwest. On his way he takes on one more stream from the right and two more from the left. In the Geringswald district of Hilmsdorf, it feeds the mill pond, then it crosses Klostergeringswalde in a bed lined with quarry stones , to flow into the large pond about 30 meters west of Arraser Strasse. From the Middle Ages to the early modern period, the latter stretched further to the east, presumably over the area of today's neighboring sports field, but due to silting up and development of the area, the mouth of the stream has been shifted to the west.
