architecture

The Klumpenstraße is one of the oldest routes on the Honnschaft Damm. The open, four-sided , half-timbered courtyard was partially renewed in brick . Still in the original division and arrangement of the house and farm buildings.

The access to the inner courtyard with the residential building , stables and barn is on the street side through an eaves gatehouse in a post-truss construction, which reveals partial interventions in its irregularity. A gently sloping gable roof completes the building.

The west side of the Hofgeviert is occupied by the two-storey, transversely closed residential building, the original half-timbered construction of which was replaced by solid masonry in the left facade section of the first floor. The house is accessed from both the center and the right outer axis . Dating inscription above the front door: "IME MMS 1838". All windows are designed as uniform rectangles, with those of the left facade section (ground floor) being elevated by a segmental arch. The two windows of the left facade area are arranged at regular intervals; the other two are integrated at varying distances into the beam / transom structure that has not been clarified here.

Of the three windows on the upper floor, those on the right half of the facade are each inserted in the middle of the corresponding container; the left window takes up the axis of the first floor window. The street-side gable front is consistently divided into small compartments and is opened by analogue rectangular windows. The top floor is illuminated by two small window hatches that are embedded in one-piece shutters .

A gable roof with clay tile covering (more recent) and slated verges completes the building. The barn opposite the house was built in brick in 1933 (information provided by the owner) to replace a previous half-timbered building and was not included in the listed building. The surrounding farm garden with orchard is to be entered in the list of monuments as part of the property that is worth protecting.
