Knut Große

Knut Große (* 1955 in Belzig ) is a German veterinarian and politician ( CDU ). Between 2018 and 2019 he was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament ( MdL ).

Live and act

After visiting the EOS "Geschwister Scholl" in Belzig and doing his basic military service in the National People's Army from 1974 to 1976, Knut Große studied veterinary medicine at the Humboldt University in Berlin until 1981 . After he was an indoor veterinarian at the slaughterhouse in Rathenow in 1982/83 and a veterinarian in a group practice in Pritzwalk in 1983/84 , he worked as chief veterinarian in the slaughterhouse in Brandenburg from 1984 to 1990 . After German reunification , Grosse was the official veterinarian from 1991 to 2018 and head of the veterinary and food monitoring office of the city of Brandenburg an der Havel. In 1991, Große received his doctorate from the Humboldt University in Berlin, and in 1991 he qualified as a veterinarian for food hygiene and in 1995 as a veterinarian for public veterinary services.

Große has been a member of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) since 1984 and represents it both in the Görzke municipal council and in the district council of the Potsdam-Mittelmark district . In the state elections in Brandenburg in 2004 , 2009 and 2014 , Große ran as a direct candidate for the CDU in the Brandenburg electoral district of Havel I / Potsdam-Mittelmark I , but was subject to the SPD candidate Andreas Kuhnert each time . On February 1, 2018, Große moved into the Brandenburg state parliament as a successor for Anja Heinrich , who resigned her state parliament mandate on January 31, 2018 after winning the election as mayor of Elsterwerda .
