Kobito

Kobito (* 1986 ) is a German rapper from Berlin who writes in German and has been active since 2005. The name Kobito is an acronym and stands for co mbination from Bi ld and To n.

Life

Kobito is a founding member of the band Schlagzeiln and, together with Sookee, forms the hip-hop duo Deine Elstern .

The Schlagzeiln group has played around 200 gigs in Berlin, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Denmark since 2006 and has gained a growing fan base.

The duo Kobito & Sookee aka Deine Elstern received a lot of attention in the scene and beyond with the song Augen Zu from the EP Deine Elstern, which was produced by MisterMo (headlines). The song finally appeared as Maxivinyl through a label cooperation with Audiolith , on which the electro punk band Frittenbude appeared on one side and your Elsters on the other.

In September 2011 Kobito released his new album Zu Eklektisch on Twisted Chords . Features on this album are Sookee and Pyro One .

Like band colleague Sookee, Kobito is a founding member of the collective Tick ​​Tick Boom, founded in 2013 .

Kobito has been under contract with the Hamburg indie label Audiolith since 2013 . On June 6, 2014, the album Blueprints was released on CD, vinyl and digitally via Audiolith, previously the songs You give your world a jolt , Blueprints and the first single Never Arm were decoupled as videos.

On October 20, 2015, Kobito published a video for the song The Walking German together with the rapper Spezial-K , who is also a member of the left-wing artist collective Tick ​​Tick Boom . The song appeared on the day on which the xenophobic and Islamophobic movement Pegida celebrated its first birthday. According to Kobito, the song is not aimed exclusively at Pegida, but also criticizes the everyday racism from the middle of society.

On April 13, 2016, another video release was released with the song Waiting for the Sun , this time together with the rapper Amewu . The song was also released on the Audiolith label .
