The Schlagzeiln group ( SGZ for short ) is a German hip-hop formation from Berlin . The themes of the songs are often left-wing political and deal in an ironic but also personal way with topics such as nationalism , unlawful police violence and neo-Nazism .
history
Schlagzeiln was founded at the end of 2006, by which time the members had already been working on music for a year and in 2006 released the double album One and a Half Album under the name Refpolk & Kobimob . Since 2006, headlines have made over 140 appearances in Berlin, Germany, Austria and Denmark and have appeared with renowned artists on the scene.
Above all, the song Köpi Bleibt from the album Berliner Melange (2007), which campaigns for the preservation of the threatened Köpi house project in Berlin, brought the band national fame.
On October 24, 2009 the group's second album Der Complex was released .
Headlines have worked with artists such as Sookee , Berlin Boom Orchestra , Wallpaper and the opera singer Juliane Gabriel. According to Kobito, the group's name is derived from the literal translation of the rap term punchline .
The band member Kobito released an EP called Deine Elstern in September 2010 , this is a collaboration with the rapper Sookee . The band member Refpolk released the EP Moments on February 1, 2011 as a free download.
The members of Schlagzeiln are members of the Tick Tick Boom! The rapper Refpolk was also a guest on the talk show Volltreffer mit Sookee .
