Kolja Schallenberg

Kolja Schallenberg (born April 1984 in Hagen ) is a German theater director and author .

Life

From 1993 to 1997 Kolja Schallenberg received private training on the mandolin . In 2003 he obtained the general higher education entrance qualification at the Heisenberg-Gymnasium Dortmund . From 2003 to 2007 he received vocal training from Thomas Körner at the Dortmund Music School.

He began at a young age in youth and off-theater in his hometown of Dortmund . From 2004 to 2008 engagements as assistant director at Theater Dortmund , Staatstheater Nürnberg and Thalia Theater followed . Since 2006 he has been directing in professional, predominantly German-speaking theater. In 2007 he was accepted as a game master in the ZBF / ZAV . From 2007 to 2009 he studied culture and media management for a Bachelor of Arts at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater . From 2011 to 2013 he studied adult education at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern .

Kolja Schallenberg writes his own theater texts that have been performed several times, e.g. B. at the Schauspielhaus Dortmund, Schauspielhaus Bochum, Staatsschauspiel Nürnberg and AIDA Cruises.

Since 2008 he has been living and working as a freelance director and writer mainly in Hamburg . Since 2014 he has also been jointly responsible for the variety of programs on the AIDA cruise ships.

In 2016/2017 he is completing a master's degree in Theater Directing (directing) at the Mountview Academy of Theater Arts in London / Great Britain.
