Routes

AIDAaura in the roadstead off Ko Samui (Thailand)

In the summer of 2016, the AIDAaura will be making tours in northern Europe from Kiel due to the short-term rerouting of the AIDAstella from the eastern to the western Mediterranean , including a 21-day trip to Greenland for the first time . In winter 2016/2017, as in the previous year, the 14-day route Orient - India will be used from Dubai ; in summer 2017, as in 2016, a rerouting will be made, this time from the eastern Mediterranean from Antalya to the western Mediterranean from Palma .

Failures

In December 2007, after a two-week stay in the shipyard, drive problems arose during the transfer from the shipyard in Genoa to Palma . From there, the AIDAaura was to embark on a transatlantic voyage to the Caribbean. AIDA Cruises did not provide any information about the exact type of damage, presumably a drive shaft damage. The trip had to be canceled and the ship had to return to the shipyard in Genoa to repair the damage.
