The Communist Party of Belarus ( KPB , Belarusian Камуністычная партыя Беларусі Kamunistichnaja partyja Belarusi ; Russian Коммунистическая партия Беларуси party founded in Belarus Communist Belarus in 1996) . She supports the authoritarian regime of Aljaksandr Lukashenka .

history

The party was founded in 1996 by former members of the Communist Party of Belarus , who rejected their opposition to President Lukashenka. The Communist Party of Belarus received six seats in the 2008 parliamentary election and three seats in the 2012 election . The party collected signatures for President Aljaksandr Lukashenka for the 2015 presidential election in Belarus . In the parliamentary elections in Belarus in 2016 , the Communist Party won eight seats.

During the 2020 protests in Belarus , the Communist Party took part in a rally in support of Aljaksandr Lukashenka.
