Konrad Corradi
Konrad Corradi , baptized Johann Corradi , (born September 2, 1813 in Oberneunforn , † April 9, 1878 in Uhwiesen ) was a Swiss landscape painter , draftsman and gouachist .
Live and act
In 1827 Konrad Corradi completed a six-year training course in Johann Heinrich Bleuler's studio in Feuerthalen . From 1833 he worked in the Bleuler workshop and painting school at Laufen Castle . In 1836 he was a co-founder of the Swiss Alpine Club . In 1837 he made the acquaintance of Johann Wilhelm Schirmer in Meiringen, who introduced him to oil painting. In 1838 he married Elisabeth Egli from Uhwiesen where he also settled. In the summer months he wandered well into old age. The Darmstadt publisher Gustav Georg Lange commissioned him to make master drawings for the work The Grand Duchy of Baden in picturesque original views .
