Konrad Huschke

Konrad Alfred Leopold Huschke (born 1875 in Auma in the district of Greiz ; died 1956 in (?), Buried in Weimar ) was a German music writer, musicologist and lawyer. He was a lecturer in the Thuringian Ministry of Finance. His ancestors were personal physicians of the ducal and grand ducal families, but also of Goethe and Schiller .

He was the father of the archivist Wolfgang Huschke . He himself lived in Greiz .

So he wrote u. a. Books about Ludwig van Beethoven or Franz Schubert or Johannes Brahms , some of which appeared in several editions. He also published the correspondence between Ernst Haeckel and Agnes Haeckel, b. Huschke . His book On German Music and Their Enemies came on the 1946-53 list of literature to be sorted out . The work ended up in the Third Addendum to this index in 1953 .
