Konrad level
Konrad level (born April 14, 1487 in Wismar , † November 13, 1567 in Rostock ) was a German theologian, professor of education and eloquence and multiple rector of the University of Rostock .
Life
Konrad level enrolled at the University of Rostock in 1505, graduated two years later with a baccalaureate and in 1509 with a master's degree . Then level was appointed head of the “Porta Coeli” pedagogy before Duke Heinrich V of Mecklenburg called him in 1514 to raise his son Magnus . After completing his task, Ebene went to the University of Wittenberg in 1521 , where he attended lectures by Martin Luther and Philipp Melanchthon and consolidated his position in the Reformation, which he had already conceded in 1516 with his work "Dialogus Theophili ac Archiae des poenitentia".
On the instructions of Duke Heinrich V of Mecklenburg, level returned to Rostock to the university in 1532 and became a full professor of pedagogy and eloquence at the philosophy faculty. During his activity as a professor, he read about mathematics, dialectics, rhetoric and Latin classics and improved the humanistic studies at the University of Rostock in the process. In addition to his scientific work and fifteen times as dean of the Philosophical Faculty, Konrad Ebene became rector of the university for the first time in 1538. In the years 1538/1539, 1546/1547, 1547, 1550, 1550/1551, 1551, 1551/52, 1556 and 1565/1566, level was confirmed for further rector offices and thus determined the development of the university to a particular degree.
In 1534/1535 the Lutheran level took part in the reformatory church visits in Mecklenburg as a theologian. From 1556 until his death in 1567, Konrad Ebene was also the last episcopal official and archdeacon of Rostock.
Konrad level was the father of Magnus level .

Only a few publications by Konrad Ebene have been preserved or passed on. One of his most important works is "Dialogus Theophili ac Archiae de poenitentia" (Dialogue of Theophilus and Archias on penance) from 1516, in which level very sharply condemns the indulgence trade .
