Konstantin Georgievich Starostin

Konstantin Georgievich Starostin ( Russian Константин Георгиевич Старостин * 21st May 1914 ; † 10. January 1985 ) was a Soviet theater - and film - actor and director .

Life and accomplishments

Starostin studied at a technical college from 1931 to 1933 and then worked for the Likhachev automobile works for about a year. From 1934 to 1937 he studied at a workers' faculty and was then hired as an actor by the Mosfilmstudio for four years . Until 1964, however, he would continue to work there on a fee basis as an actor and assistant director. In 1941 Starostin got an engagement at the Tbilisi film studio, but one year later went to Kazachfilm in Alma-Ata . His activity there ended in 1944 and in 1945 he was engaged for six years by the Moscow State Theater of Film Actors. From 1964 Starostin worked as a director for Tajik film , in 1966 he also worked in the same role for Uzbek film . From 1968 to 1977 he shot for his former place of work Mosfilm.

Since 1940 Starostin appeared as a supporting actor or extra in the film, he made his debut in the drama Любимая девушка . He often played members of the military or "combative" roles, e.g. B. a partisan in Секретарь райкома (1942), sailors in Admiral Nakhimov (1946) and The Unforgettable Year 1919 (1951) as well as Fyodor Matveevich Gortalov, major in the Russo-Ottoman War , in the Soviet-Bulgarian production (1954) .пки ирои Alexander Chwylja was his film partner in With False Papers (An der Theiss) (1958), and both later appeared in Adventure in the Magic Forest (1964).
