Konstantin Groß

Konstantin Groß (born February 17, 1964 in Mannheim ) is a German journalist and author of several books on regional history.

Career

Groß studied modern history, economic and social history as well as political science at the University of Mannheim with the election researcher Rudolf Wildenmann , the GDR and communism expert Hermann Weber and the leading political scientist Peter Graf Kielmansegg ; at the latter he also worked as a research assistant from 1987 to 1992.

Since 1993 he has been editor of the daily newspaper Mannheimer Morgen , where he has been responsible for the “ Badische Bergstrasse ” area since 1995 .

He dedicates himself to his hobby, regional history, which he has cultivated since his student days, through research and presentation of the history of individual communities in the Rhine-Neckar triangle. Almost all of his publications close a gaping gap and are therefore considered fundamental to the geographic area in question.

Characteristic of his works is a historical-scientific approach and working method (in the genre of "homeland-historical" publications otherwise not yet consistently practiced), including a detailed scientific annotation apparatus.
