Konstanze Kuchenmeister
Konstanze Kuchenmeister (born Haber; born December 29, 1968 in Hamburg ) is a German doctor and author.
Life
After graduating from high school in Hamburg in 1988, Kuchenmeister studied human medicine at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg . In 1999 she received her doctorate from the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg with a study of the mitogenic effects of IGF1 on ovarian carcinoma cells . She then worked as a doctor at the Neumarkt Clinic in the Upper Palatinate in Nuremberg and London and completed her training as a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics in 2003.
Konstanze Kuchenmeister became known to a wider public as a result of her cancer. She had just given birth to twins when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2004 . She faced surgery and chemotherapy, looked after her four children, and at the same time set up her own practice. When she believed she had beaten cancer, doctors diagnosed a brain tumor . The life biography "Heaven and Hell - The true story of Konstanze Kuchenmeister", written down as a factual novel by Hera Lind , became a bestseller in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2011, a 9-week Spiegel bestseller list, top 100 annual bestsellers in 2011 TB Fiction Germany.
Kuchenmeister is established in Schwabach and Nuremberg, Bavaria, as a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics. She is committed to preventive medical checkups and the HPV vaccination against cervical cancer.
family
Kuchenmeister's father Günter Haber (* 1939) is a lawyer, her mother is the toy entrepreneur Heidi Haber (* 1940). Kuchenmeister is the niece of the musicologist Helga de la Motte-Haber and the composer and music theorist Diether de la Motte . Kuchenmeister has been married since 1994 and has four children.
