Kopitzsch is a district of the municipality of Miesitz in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .
geography
Kopitzsch is located in the middle of the Orlaaue west of Miesitz and the federal highway 9 in the immediate vicinity of the junction Triptis of the federal highway. The federal road 281 touches the mainly field-bearing demarcation. The forest area of the Saale-Elster sandstone slab begins to the north near Alsmannsdorf .
history
Kopitzsch was first mentioned in documents in 1378. The place, which has always been dominated by agriculture, also followed the East German route in its development . The farmers were involved in the agro-industry association . After the fall of the Wall, new land management structures were quickly found. This can also be seen in the example of the half-timbered complex of a courtyard in the village and the church built and repaired in 1740 .
