Kosmas ( Greek Κοσμάς ( m. Sg. )) Is a mountain village in Arcadia in the Peloponnese in Greece . From 1912 to 2010 it was an independent rural community that was united with Leonidi and Tire to form the new community of Notia Kynouria with the Greek administrative reform .
Kosmas is located near the border between Arcadia and Laconia in the Parnon Mountains . During the Second World War the village was destroyed by German troops. This was a reprisal because Italian soldiers had been attacked by partisans here.
The Elona Monastery is close to the village.
