Kotowka ( Ukrainian Котовка ; Russian Котовка ) is a village in the north of the Ukrainian Oblast Dnipropetrovsk with about 2600 inhabitants (2004).
The first written mention of the village comes from 1770.
Kotowka is located in the north of Mahdalyniwka Rajon near the border with Poltava Oblast and Kharkiv Oblast on the banks of the Dnepr-Donbass Canal , which runs parallel to the course of the Oril , which flows north . Territorial roads T – 04–10 and T – 04–12 run through the village . The village is located 27 km north of the Mahdalynivka district center and 83 km north of the Dnipro oblast center .
Kotowka is the administrative center of the eponymous district municipality , nor the village to the Stepaniwka ( Степанівка ⊙ ) belongs with about 210 inhabitants.
