Kouilou is a department of the Republic of the Congo with the capital Loango . In 2003, Pointe-Noire , the country's second largest city, was separated from him.
geography
The department is located in the southwest of the country and borders Gabon in the north, the Niari department in the east, the Angolan exclave Cabinda in the south and the Atlantic Ocean in the west . The Kouilou River flows into the Atlantic here.
