Kozue Takizawa (born December 5, 1995 ) is a Japanese cross-country skier .

Career

Takizawa ran her first race in the Far East Cup in Sapporo in January 2011 and finished 24th over 5 km classic. At the 2012 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck she finished 30th in the sprint and eighth place over 5 km classic and at the Junior World Championships 2012 in Erzurum on 56th place in the sprint, 38th place over 5 km classic and on the 27th place in the skiathlon . In the 2012/13 season she achieved four top ten placements, including second place over 5 km classic in Pyeongchang , seventh place in the overall ranking of the Far East Cup. At the Junior World Championships 2013 in Liberec she came 32nd place in sprint, 26th place over 5 km freestyle and 19th place in skiathlon and at the Junior World Championships 2014 in Val di Fiemme she came 53rd place in sprint, on the 16th place in the skiathlon and on the seventh place over 5 km classic. In the 2014/15 season she achieved six places in the top ten, again seventh place in the overall ranking of the Far East Cup. Her best results at the Winter Universiade 2015 in Štrbské Pleso were 28th place in the sprint and eighth place in the relay. At the Junior World Championships 2015 in Almaty , she finished 47th in the 5 km freestyle, 43rd place in the skiathlon and 37th place in the sprint.

In the 2016/17 season, Takizawa finished in the top ten five times in the Far East Cup, including third place over 5 km classic in Sapporo and thus reached eighth place in the overall standings. Her best placement at the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty was sixth in the sprint. At the Winter Asian Games 2017 in Sapporo, she won the gold medal with the relay. In the individual races there she was ninth in the sprint, fifth over 5 km classic and fourth over 10 km freestyle and in the 15 km mass start race. She made her debut in the World Cup in March 2017 at the World Cup Final in Québec , which she finished in 61st place. In the following season she achieved two third and one first place in the sprint in Sapporo, fourth place in the overall ranking of the Far East Cup. At the U23 World Championships in Goms in 2018 , she took 38th place in the sprint, 20th place over 10 km classic and 19th place in skiathlon. After finishing second over 5 km classic in the Far East Cup in Otoineppu at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, she took her second victory in the Far East Cup over 5 km classic in Sapporo. This was followed by third place over 5 km freestyle in Pyeongchang and at the end of the season third place in the overall ranking of the Far East Cup. At the season highlight, the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tyrol , she ran on 54th place over 10 km classic, on 50th place in the skiathlon. and on the 14th place with the relay. At the Winter Universiade in Krasnoyarsk in March 2019 , she won the silver medal with the relay. Her best individual placement there was ninth place over 5 km classic.
