Krátery

The Krátery (German: Krater ) is a heavily forested basalt cone southeast of Horní Hraničná (German: Oberkunreuth ) in northern Bohemia . The summit lies at 587  m nm in the middle of the Svatokřížský les (German: Heiligenkreuzwald ) in the Czech part of the Kohlwald in the Fichtel Mountains .

North of the summit runs a road from Cheb (German: Eger ) to Dolní Hraničná (German: Unterkunreuth ).

In the geomorphological classification of the neighboring Czech Republic , the Chebská pahorkatina (German: Egerer Hügelland) is assigned to the (High) Fichtel Mountains as the main unit Smrčiny (I3A-1).

history

In earlier years there was an important road to Eger on the east side.

Buildings

To the north opposite on the Zelená hora are a transmission tower for the Czech radio and a Bismarck tower .
