The power plant Meri-Pori is a coal power plant in the landscape Satakunta , Finland , which at the Gulf of Bothnia about 15 kilometers northwest of the city of Pori is located. It is owned by Fortum (55%) and TVO (45%); The operator is Fortum.

With an installed capacity of 565 MW , Meri-Pori is currently the most powerful coal-fired power plant in Finland (as of March 2018). The Tahkoluoto power plant is right next to Meri-Pori .

Power plant units

The power plant consists of one block that went into operation in 1994. It serves to cover the base load .
