The Ninghai Power Plant is a coal-fired power plant in the People's Republic of China , which is located on the East China Sea in Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province . It is owned and operated by Shenhua Guohua Electric Power Corporation (SG), a subsidiary of China Shenhua Energy .
Data
With an installed capacity of 4.4 GW , Ninghai is one of the most powerful coal-fired power plants in the world. Annual generation rose from 6.83 billion kWh in 2006 to 16.75 billion kWh in 2009. The demand for imported hard coal rose from 2.1 million t in 2006 to 4.95 million t in 2009 Ninghai serves to cover the base load .
Power plant units
The power plant consists of a total of six blocks with different capacities, which were built between 2005 and 2009. The following table gives an overview:
block | Max. Power (MW) | Start of operation | turbine | generator | Steam boiler |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 600 | 2005 | Shanghai Electric | Shanghai Electric | Shanghai Electric |
2 | 600 | 2005 | Shanghai Electric | Shanghai Electric | Shanghai Electric |
3 | 600 | 2005 | Shanghai Electric | Shanghai Electric | Shanghai Electric |
