The crane peninsula ( Bulgarian полуостров Крън poluostrow crane ) is a peninsula with a strongly undulating coastline at the northeast end of Liège Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . In north-south expansion it is 2.85 km long, 2.35 km wide, ends to the north at Moureaux Point and is connected to the rest of the island via a 200 m wide isthmus to the south .
British scientists mapped it in 1978. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2013 after the town of Kran in central Bulgaria .
