The Krassbach is a brook in the municipality of Oberlienz , Ainet and Schlaiten ( Lienz district ). It rises on the north side of the Villgraten Mountains and flows into the Isel at Plone .

The Krassbach rises on the northern slopes between Schönbergspitze , Hinterer Lavantspitze and Vorderer Lavantspitze in the Villgratner Mountains from several spring arms that unite east of the Laschkitzhütte. It then flows in a north-easterly direction and quickly takes on further source streams on the left-hand side, which arise south of the Petoggalm. In the middle reaches of the Krass stream runs through wooded ravines before between Inner Krass and addition Krass reached populated area. In the lower reaches of the Krassbach arches around the village of Plone, before it flows into the Isel on the north-east of this village on the right. While the source area of ​​the Krassbach lies in the municipality of Oberlienz, the Krassbach flows over long stretches in the border area between the municipalities of Schlaiten and Oberlienz. Only the mouth of the Krassbach is in the municipality of Ainet.
