The circuit 10 is located in the northwest city district of the city of Zurich . It comprises the Wipkingen district, which was incorporated into the city in 1893, and the Höngg district, which was incorporated in 1934 .
history
District 10 was created as part of the second incorporation in 1934. For logistical and statistical reasons, not only was the new Höngg district assigned to the new district 10, but the Wipkingen district, which was incorporated in 1893 - also a formerly independent municipality - was re-divided into the new urban district. Before the reallocation, Wipkingen together with Oberstrass and Unterstrass formed the city district IV , which was renumbered to district 6 in 1913 on the occasion of a revision . The second incorporation finally led to the creation of the new districts 9 to 11, as well as to the reduction of the district 6 and an enlargement of the district 7.
