The Kulturhaus Kresslesmühle is a venue for cabaret and cabaret events in Augsburg . It is also the venue for the annual “Augsburg Cabaret Days”.

The listed building of the Kresslesmühle is located in Augsburg's Lechviertel opposite the Stadtmetzg and essentially goes back to a craftsman's house from the 16th century that used the water power of the Vorderer Lech canal as a mill . The flour mill mentioned in the town charter of 1276 was in operation until the early 1970s. A citizens' initiative ensured the preservation and renovation of the building and established a cultural center there since 1977, which today continues to exist in the form of a GmbH and forms an essential part of the Augsburg cultural scene.

In addition to the cabaret stage, the Kresslesmühle also has seminar rooms and the Kolibri intercultural day-care center. The concept of the culture house also included the gastronomic use of the ground floor and the terrace from the start. From 1999 to 2008 the Finnish pub “Helsinki Bar” was located here.

Since 2005, the Kulturhaus Kresslesmühle has been running the Intercultural Academy Augsburg , a network for intercultural cultural and educational work, in collaboration with the migrant organization Mesopotamien Verein .
