The Kreuzkirche is a church belonging to the Protestant community of Hemer . It is located in the west of Stübeck and was consecrated in 1964. The pointed tent roof and the bell tower in front of the church are distinctive.

history

The church building was consecrated on October 18, 1964 and thus handed over to its intended use. The Catholic parish of St. Peter and Paul collected donations totaling 650 DM to finance a baptismal font . The organ, donated by the Mayor of Hemeran, Hans Meyer , was finally inaugurated at Easter 1980 .

Architecture and equipment

The church has a regular pentagon floor plan and can accommodate 150 people. The defining design element is a tent roof that exceeds the height of the bell support in front of the entrance. The sacristy and parish rooms were added to the side .

Bells

The consecration of bells took place together with the consecration of the church in October 1964. The bell foundry of the Rincker brothers created the following three bells in 1964 , which are housed in a bell carrier in front of the actual church building:

On April 6, 1980 the organ of the Kreuzkirche was consecrated. It was built by Alfred Führer at the organ building company . The disposition :
