The Kriegersberg was a settlement near Marksuhl , a district of the Gerstungen municipality in the Wartburg district in Thuringia . The single farmstead was given up and demolished during the GDR era.

location

The former village of Kriegersberg was located about 1.5 kilometers west of the local location of Marksuhl on the road from the building yard to Mölmeshof and Josthof . Today there are some garden houses at Kriegersberg.

history

The Kriegersberg belonged to a group of farms and small settlements ( Clausberg , Lutzberg , Hütschhof , Frommeshof , Rangenhof , Meileshof , Lindigshof , Mölmeshof , Josthof and others) that had been in the domain of the Frankenstein counts and their home monastery Frauensee in the Buntsandstein hill country since the High Middle Ages Marksuhl were founded.

In 1879, based on the census of 1875, statistical information on the town of Kriegersberg was published. The place consisted only of the homestead. The size of the fields was 84.4 hectares - of which 1.7 hectares were accounted for by courtyards and gardens, 9 hectares for meadows, 47.2 hectares of arable land. 22.2 hectares for forest and 4.3 hectares for paths, drifts, wasteland and orchards.
