The building yard is part of the Gerstungen community in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .

location

The building yard is located about 1.5 kilometers west of the local location of Marksuhl on the road to Wünschensuhl and Berka / Werra . The district town of Bad Salzungen is about 13 kilometers (as the crow flies ) away. The building yard is located in a wooded area on the Suhl , at the level of the locality, the Melmesbach flows from the south as a left tributary into the Suhl, about 200 meters to the east the Rommelbach also flows into the Suhl. A still existing mill ditch was created in order to be able to operate the water mill located at the building yard.

history

The Baueshof belongs to a group of courtyards and small settlements ( Clausberg , Lutzberg , Kriegersberg , Hütschhof , Frommeshof , Rangenhof , Meileshof , Lindigshof , Mölmeshof , Josthof and others) that have been under the rule of the Frankenstein counts and their home monastery Frauensee in the Buntsandstein since the High Middle Ages. Hill country near Marksuhl were founded. In the middle of the 19th century the building yard had 5 houses and 27 residents. The place had always been parish and schooled in Marksuhl. In 2013 there are 6 houses here.
