Kristina Edmundovna Orbakaite ( Russian Кристина Эдмундовна Орбакайте Kristina Ėdmundovna Orbakajte ; born May 25, 1971 in Moscow ) is a popular Russian singer and actress . Her repertoire focuses on a modernized form of the Estrada hit, which was strongly influenced by her mother Alla Pugatschowa .

Life

Kristina Orbakaite is the daughter of the popular Russian singer Alla Pugatschowa (* 1949) and the Lithuanian circus artist Mikolas Edmundas Orbakas (* 1945). She spent her childhood (from the 4th month of life) to school with her grandparents in the spa town of Šventoji on the Baltic Sea in Lithuania . There she only spoke Lithuanian and was baptized a Catholic. In 2002 she became a Lithuanian citizen .

She has released nine albums in Russian since 1996, the latest from 2005 being called My Life . She is particularly well known in Russia and the Baltic countries, where she often goes on tour.

She made her television debut when she was seven years old in the children's music program “Fröhliche Noten”.
