Krystal Jung (born October 24, 1994 in San Francisco , United States ) is a South Korean- American singer and member of the South Korean girl group f (x) .

Life

Krystal ( kor. 크리스탈 ) was born on October 24, 1994 in San Francisco . Her Korean name is Jeong Su-jeong ( 정수정 ) often also Jung Soo-jung . She is the younger sister of ex- Girls' Generation member Jessica .

She has been with the talent agency SM Entertainment since 2006 . She graduated from the Korea Kent Foreign School in Seoul .

Career

Krystal has been a member of the girl group f (x) since 2009 . This released their first single "LA chA TA" on September 1, 2009. She has also starred in a number of television series and has made guest appearances in music videos. For her role in More Charming by the Day , she received the MBC Entertainment Award in the Best Newcomer Comedy category.

She also participates in Kim Yu-na's reality TV series Kiss & Cry .
