Kubilay Akyüz (born February 22, 1995 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player. Akyüz is left-footed, his regular position is that of the right winger, but he is also used as a right winger or as a striker. He is also the younger brother of Serhat Akyüz , who is also a professional footballer.

Career

Akyüz was trained in his youth by the renowned Turkish club Galatasaray Istanbul and moved to Damlaspor in 2008, Kasımpaşa Istanbul took him under his wing in 2012 and made him a professional squad in 2015. Akyüz was a reservist at Kasımpaşa and only made three cup appearances. To gain experience, he was loaned to third division club Eyüpspor , where he made his debut on September 16, 2017 in a 3-2 win over Kocaeli Birlikspor . Against Kastamonuspor in 1966 he scored twice and was able to convince here, even if his team lost the game 3-4.

At the beginning of the 2018/19 season , Akyüz was bought by Eyüpspor and scored twice in a 3-2 away win against BB Bodrumspor on the first match day , and with a goal in the 95th minute he secured his team the victory in the last minute. He cemented his good performance in the preseason and finally established himself at Eyüpspor. On matchday 17 he scored another brace, this time against Gaziantepspor , the game ended with a 2-0 win.
