After a year at Giresunspor , he took over the third division Gümüşhane Doğanspor in the summer of 1996 . With this club he finished the third division season 1997/98 as a champion and rose to the 2nd league . After this success he agreed for the coming season, but left the club in the first few weeks of the new season. In the following years he coached a large number of second and third division teams. I.a. he worked in the 2003/04 season for first division club Akçaabat Sebatspor , but left this club after nine matchdays. In the summer of 2013 he was introduced as the head coach of the second division Adanaspor and thus looked after this club for the second time. After Adanaspor suffered a bitter home defeat under Al on the first season of the 2013/14 season against Orduspor 4-0 at home, Al announced his resignation.
