Kulmspitze

The Kulmspitze is 1095  m above sea level. A. high mountain above the Mondsee in the Upper Austrian Salzkammergut . A wooden observation tower was built on its summit in 2019 .

The Kulmspitze is the highest point of a mountain range that extends west to the Mondseeberg ( 1029  m ). The Wangauer Ache rises on its northern slope . About 2 km northwest of the summit is a small chapel at 992  m , the so-called Radstadtkapelle, to which a way of the cross leads up. The wheel as namesake and Celtic symbol suggests an old cult place here. From the mountain you have a beautiful view of the entire Mondsee, the surrounding mountain peaks of the Höllengebirge , the Schafberg and the rest of the Salzkammergut mountains .

Observation tower

Construction of the observation tower began in spring 2019. Construction was completed at the end of September, and the tower should be completely finished in early May 2020 and then inaugurated. Since the construction of the tower, the Mondseeland has a new landmark .
