Kumari Taki (born May 6, 1999 ) is a Kenyan middle-distance runner who specializes in the 1,500 meter run .

Athletic career

Kumari Taki gained his first experience in international championships at the 2015 African Youth Championships in Réduit , where he won the gold medal over 1500 meters in 3: 44.35 minutes. He then took part in the youth world championships in Cali , Colombia , where he also won the gold medal with a new championship record of 3: 36.38 minutes. At the end of the season he won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Apia . In 2016 he took part in the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz and won the gold medal there in 3: 48.63 minutes.

In 2018 he took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast , where he finished seventh in the final in 3: 38.74 minutes.
