Kumpania Algazarra is a Portuguese band that play a mix of turbo-folk , ska , pop-rock and especially the music of the Roma .

Inspired by the brass music of the Balkans and gypsy music , and under the influence of ska and other styles, different musicians began in Sintra , street festivals to play in parks and other occasions their particular joy of dance music. They became better and better known. Various television appearances followed, including live appearances on the first RTP channel . In 2007 she invited the theater-electro-rock band Blasted Mechanism as a guest musician to her album Sound in Light .

In 2008, their debut album Kumpania Algazarra was self-published, which they occasionally distributed themselves with improvised street concerts , around August 2007 in Lisbon's Chiado district. In 2010 a remix album followed on the Footmovin 'label. Various musicians reworked songs by the Kumpania Algazarra.

A new album has been announced for 2012, which will be financed through the crowdfunding principle.
