Kumpfmühle is a district of the city of Nabburg in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf ( Bavaria ).

Kumpfmühle is located on State Road 2040 , about five kilometers southeast of Nabburg am Zitterbach, which rises about 6 kilometers further northeast on the northern slope of the 492 meter high Ottenbierl and joins the Gaisgraben 6 kilometers further south-west and flows into the Naab at Wölsenberg.

history

In 1630 the Kumpfmühle appears in a tax description of the Nabburg Nursing Office as a mill belonging to Eckendorf with its crew and jurisdiction in the possession of Conrad von Knöringen. In 1676 Hans Friedrich von Knöringen sold Eckendorf with the Kummpfmühle to his tenant Hans Leonhard Zeller. After his death, the property went to Wilhelm and Hans Georg Haller von Hallerstein, where he remained until 1725. They were followed by Johann Andrä Kammerpauer, Gertrud Clementine Freifrau von Morgen, and Karl Freiherr von Schönstätt (1813). At the beginning of the 19th century there were tough battles over the exercise of the lower jurisdiction, which ended with Kumpfmühle, as part of Eckendorf, being brought to the Nabburg district court in 1827.

In 1808 the Kumpfmühle had a property, its owner was Bartholomäus Brenner. In court it belonged to Hofmark Neusath.

In 1811, Kumpfmühle was listed as belonging to the tax district Girnitz and the chairmanship of Diendorf. After the reform of 1818, which aimed to simplify the administrative structures, Kumpfmühle belonged to the newly formed rural community of the open country of Diendorf. From 1827 Kumpfmühle came under the jurisdiction of the state together with Eckendorf. In 1828 Kumpfmühle belonged to the rural community of Diendorf, to the branch church in Perschen and to the Catholic school in Perschen, with a residential building, a family and four residents. All residents were Catholic.

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Kumpfmühle belonged to the Perschen branch church and thus to the parish of Nabburg. It had one house and 8 residents. In 1964 Kumpfmühle had two residential buildings and four residents and belonged to the rural community of Diendorf and the district of Nabburg . On July 1, 1972, the Nabburg district was dissolved and Kumpfmühle came to be part of the Diendorf community in the newly formed Schwandorf district. On January 1, 1975, Kumpfmühle was incorporated into the city of Nabburg as part of the municipality of Diendorf.

In 2013 there was a family in Kumpfmühle who offered a farm holiday.
