Kunigunde Prince

Kunigunde Fürst FrVbr (* 1944 in Ried in der Riedmark ) is an Austrian nun and former general superior of the Franciscan Sisters of Vöcklabruck .

Life

Anna Elisabeth Fürst started as a kindergarten assistant with the Franciscan Sisters in Linz in 1959, entered the order of the Franciscan Sisters of Vöcklabruck in 1964 and studied mathematics as a teacher and holds a doctorate in theology. She completed her doctorate in canon law at the University of Salzburg . She taught as a high school teacher in Wels and was the head of the University Council of the Diocese of Linz .

From 1994 to 2012 Kunigunde Fürst was Superior General of the Franciscan Sisters in Vöcklabruck for three terms of office each six years, where she was succeeded by Sr. Angelika Garstenauer.

From 2008 to 2012 Fürst was President of the Union of Austrian Women's Orders, where she was succeeded by Sr. Beatrix Mayerhofer SSND .

In 2013 Kunigunde Fürst was involved in a social and school project of her order in Kazakhstan .
