The Kunsthalle K2 is an exhibition container for contemporary art on the main square of the market town of Semriach in Styria . The container was created in 2002 by the artist Christian Eisenberger .

container

The K2 is probably the smallest art hall in the world. It is the size of a banana box (485 × 360 × 190 millimeters) and is not accessible, but is open all the time and can be viewed with free entry . The exhibition inside can be viewed through four viewing slits. For this, however, visitors literally have to kneel in front of the art. Thus the art gallery itself is a work of art.

Exhibitions

After it was founded, there were irregular exhibitions organized by Christian Eisenberger. After a ten-year exhibition break, the exhibitions were resumed in autumn 2015 with the curator Stella Plapp.
