The Kunyang Chhish Nord is a mountain in the Karakoram in the Pakistani special territory Gilgit-Baltistan .
location
The Kunyang Chhish North has a height of 7108 m . The summit is located in the north ridge of Kunyang Chhish , about 5.3 km from the main summit, in the Hispar Muztagh mountain range . Due to a notch height of 517 m, the Kunyang Chhish Nord is considered an independent mountain. The mountain lies opposite Distaghil Sar , which is further north , the highest peak in the mountain range. The Kunyang Chhish North is flanked by the Kunyang Glacier in the west and north and by the Yazghil Glacier in the east.
Ascent history
The Kunyang Chhish Nord was first climbed in 1979 by a Japanese expedition from the University of Hokkaidō over the north ridge. On July 11, eight expedition members reached the summit.
